Welcome to FortSort. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, web application, and services (collectively, the "Service") operated by FortSort ("we," "us," or "our").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, you may not access the Service.
Some features of the Service are available through paid subscriptions. By selecting a paid subscription, you agree to pay the specified fees. We charge on a monthly or yearly basis depending on the subscription option you select.
Free Tier:Basic features for personal use. Includes up to 3 domains, 125 items, 15 storage spaces, 25 tasks, and speech-to-text & search functionality. Ad-supported; no AI features or analytics.
Team Plan: For families and micro-businesses. Includes up to 5 domains, 250 items, 50 storage spaces, 50 tasks, invitations for up to 2 users per domain, 200 Smart Add (object recognition) calls per month, and an ad-free experience.
Pro Plan: Advanced features for power users. Includes 10 domains, 1,000 items, 200 storage spaces, 100 tasks, invitations for up to 5 users per domain, 800 Smart Add calls, 25 Receipt Scan calls, 50 Barcode Scan calls per month, and access to the analytics page.
Enterprise Plan: Premium features for businesses. Includes 20 domains, 5,000 items, 500 storage spaces, 500 tasks, invitations for up to 10 users per domain, 5,000 Smart Add calls, 100 Receipt Scan calls, 200 Barcode Scan calls per month, full analytics, and priority support.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. All sales are final and subscription fees are non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law.
Subscription Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or through the Stripe Customer Portal. Upon cancellation, your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period, after which it will revert to the Free tier. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of the subscription period.
Refunds: All sales are final. We do not offer refunds for subscription fees, including for unused subscription time after cancellation, plan downgrades, or partial billing periods, except where a refund is required by applicable law.
When you create an account with us, you must provide accurate, complete, and current information. You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Service and for any activities or actions under your password.
You agree not to disclose your password to any third party. You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of FortSort and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the United States and foreign countries.
You may not duplicate, copy, or reuse any portion of the HTML/CSS, JavaScript, or visual design elements or concepts without express written permission.
Your Content.You retain ownership of the content you create, upload, or otherwise contribute to the Service (including item names and descriptions, item and task images, task titles and details, storage and domain names, and your profile picture — collectively, “User Content”). By submitting User Content to the Service, you grant FortSort a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, transmit, and process that User Content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service. This license includes processing images through AI vision providers that power features such as Smart Add (object recognition), Receipt Scan, and Barcode Scan, and making your User Content visible to other members of any shared domain you add it to. The license lasts only as long as is reasonably necessary to provide these features and to comply with our legal obligations.
You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to the User Content you submit and that its use by FortSort as described in these Terms does not violate any third party's rights or applicable law.
You agree not to use the Service:
FortSort supports multi-user collaboration through shared domains. When you invite another person to a domain or accept an invitation to one, the members of that domain can see the content you add to it — including task titles and details, task images, item names, descriptions, and images, storage and domain names, your profile picture, and your display email. Co-members may retain that content locally (for example, by screenshot or download), and we cannot control what they do with it outside the Service.
You agree to follow our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. In particular, you agree not to use any user-authored field (task titles, task details, task or item images, profile picture, display info, invites, etc.) to harass, threaten, or impersonate another person, and not to upload content that is illegal or that infringes someone else's rights. Our Acceptable Use Policy describes the full list of prohibited content and conduct, the controls available to you (leaving a domain, using the initial-letter avatar, removing members, setting membership expirations), and how to report a violation.
We reserve the right to remove User Content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate the Acceptable Use Policy, as described in Section 8 below.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which can be found at Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as detailed in our Privacy Policy.
We take the protection of your data seriously. All user data is stored securely and protected according to industry standards. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Service (or any part thereof) with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including, without limitation, if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
In addition to account-level action, we reserve the right to remove or restrict access to specific User Content — including individual items, tasks, images, profile pictures, invites, or other material — that we reasonably believe violates these Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law, or that is the subject of a valid legal request. Where practical and appropriate, we will notify the account responsible for the removed content, but we are not required to do so when the content is illegal, presents a risk of harm, or when notifying would interfere with a legal process.
In no event shall FortSort, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, please stop using the Service.
